The Journey to Leadership
For Dr. Marcus D. Cosby, ministry wasn’t just a career choice—it was a calling. Inspired by his faith and the legacy of Dr. William A. Lawson, he pursued theological studies, earning degrees from Fisk University, Morehouse School of Religion, and Northern Baptist Theological Seminary. His journey reflects the resilience and brilliance of Black leaders who continue to break barriers and pave the way for future generations.
Making An Impact
Beyond the pulpit, Dr. Cosby is dedicated to shaping future leaders in ministry. He has trained over 100 ministers at Wheeler Avenue, taught homiletics at Houston Graduate School of Theology, and founded Preaching with Power and Authority Ministries to promote relevant biblical preaching in the 21st century. Additionally, his involvement on the Board of Trustees at Fisk University and various other organizations reflects his deep commitment to education, service, and advocacy.
